Big changes for Nocturne

While we’ve loved partnering with KCRW, Nocturne and KCRW will be parting ways after the October, 2020 episode.

Nocturne started out as an independent production in 2014, but it’s been connected to KCRW almost since it’s beginning. The creators of the show were finalists in KCRW’s 24-Hour Radio Race just a few months before Nocturne launched in Fall of 2014.  Over the next couple of years KCRW’s UnFictional Podcast featured multiple episodes from Nocturne. In 2017 KCRW’s Independent Producer Project became a formal Production Sponsor. Then, in 2018 KCRW became Nocturne’s official distribution partner. We’ve been thrilled to be a part of KCRW, AND if we’ve learned anything in 2020, it’s to expect and embrace change. While no longer “a part” of KCRW, we’ll always consider KCRW part of the Nocturne family.

What this means going forward is that Nocturne will once again be an independently produced show, and its continuing existence is now dependent on financial support from listeners. Please consider becoming a Patron of Nocturne RIGHT NOW! Thank you!
